2. Career development assistance for the College of Business and Economics (CBE)

CBE is the abbreviation of College of Business and Economic. In the CBE career project, corporate job fairs, industry interviews, employer meetings and other activities will be held regularly. In addition, the college offers various career development programs to give students the opportunity to accumulate work experience before graduation. Its projects include:

• CBE internship program: Interns need to participant 120 hours in working (approximately 12 hours per week, more than 10 weeks)

 

• CBE Special Industry Project (SIP): The purpose of the course will help students to encounter the real business environment and develop multiple capabilities.


 

• MomentuM Career Development and Workplace Mentoring Project


 

The ANU School of Business and Economics (CBE) and many business partners jointly run ANU's professional development project- MomentuM. It could reinforce students skills and they could well-prepare for the future career.

• CBE GLOBE International Internship Program


 

The Global Business Immersion course (CBEA3066) usually takes up to 10 days of visits in one or more countries/regions; the project emphasizes personal and professional development in the fields of leadership, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and international business.

3. China office set up internship program


 

China Liaison Office's (CLO), Australia’s National China Office, has set up an internship program for Chinese students, so that students can gain work experience and enhance their own strength.

Q&A of Internship Program in China Office

Q: What does the work content of interns include?

A: Assist in the main activities of the China office, including market research, university, government and company relations, online and social media presence management, conferences, events and coordination of high-level delegation visits.

Q: How long is the internship period?

A: The internship period is usually 3 months of full-time work, and the start date depends on the applicant's schedule and office needs.

For applicants who are currently studying in Beijing, the China Office will consider providing flexible work or arranging part-time jobs.

Q: Are there subsidies for interns?

A: CLO pays related work expenses and provides a small allowance to interns. However, the internship program does not support salary or living expenses. It is recommended that interns make necessary budget arrangements and find good accommodation before arriving in Beijing.

4. Various scholarship programs


 

ANU PhD Scholarships

Scholarship amount: $28,092 AUD/year

Application time: open all year round

Application conditions:

• Domestic or international students, and

• Have applied for a doctorate or professional doctorate through the research plan, and

• A bachelor's degree with first-class honours (some universities may consider students with second-class honours), or

• Research-related or equivalent master's degree from a recognized university

Deadline: April 15, 2021

COVID-19 Extension Scholarship

Scholarship amount: $28,597 AUD/year

Application time: open all year round

Application conditions:

• Local or international doctorate or research master's degree students

• Full-time or part-time

• The research plan is affected by the COVID-19 outbreak

• Only extend the scholarship to four years

Application period: January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021
